This past Sabbath, my family and I traveled to Woodland Hills Church to hear Pastor Gregory Boyd in person. Dr. Boyd is a strong advocate for Christian Nonviolence, and wrote the book Cross Vision, which I have read and/or listened to a dozen times, as well as Cross Vision’s two-volume academic version: Crucifixion of the Warrior God: Interpreting the Old Testament’s Violent Portraits of God in Light of the Cross.

What a Sunday to visit! Pastor Boyd gave a beautiful sermon on one aspect of 1st Corinthians chapter 13. It was powerful, inspiring, convicting… in short, it was the sweetest Sabbath experience I have had in many years. Below is the recording of the service at Woodland Hills from their youtube channel.
